The iLet Bionic Pancreas

The iLet is an automated insulin delivery system that reduces the need to make decisions about your diabetes management – because it makes the decisions for you.

What is the iLet Bionic Pancreas?

It’s the future of insulin therapy.

No more:

  • Carb Counting*
  • Correction Factors
  • Carb Ratios
  • Pre-set Basal Rates

or any of the other settings that might be overwhelming about other insulin delivery devices.

The iLet needs only one number – your weight.

*User must be carb aware.

Is the iLet Bionic Pancreas right for you?

Are you:

  • Injecting yourself multiple times a day?
  • Frustrated with the work your current pump requires?
  • Open to using a CGM?
  • Not getting to your A1C goal (no matter what you do)?
  • Someone who doesn’t have time to focus on your diabetes?
  • Apprehensive about diabetes technology and devices?
  • Suffering from diabetes burnout?

Do you not like?

  • Carb counting
  • Calculating correction doses
  • Trying to figure out your carb ratios
  • Tweaking your basal rates

What if the iLet Bionic Pancreas could do it all for you?

Why Go Bionic?

The iLet Bionic Pancreas automatically adjusts to your insulin needs so you don’t have to.

No carb counting

Instead of carb counting everything on your plate, the iLet just needs an estimate of the carbs in your meal – Usual for me, More or Less.

No corrections

The iLet makes the corrections for you. If you’re trending high, it will automatically give you more insulin to bring you back in range. If you’re trending low, it will reduce your current insulin dosage.

iLet algorithms

The “Bionic” part of the iLet that connects with your Dexcom CGM or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor, automatically handling all insulin dosing decisions — no carb counting,* no correction factors, no adjustments.

No pre-set basal rate

The iLet learns your needs and automatically adjusts your basal rate on the go.

*User must be carb aware.

Choose your CGM with the iLet

The iLet is the only insulin delivery system on the market that gives you the choice of the latest CGMs available. Choose between Dexcom CGMs or the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.

New! Color iLet

We’re excited to share the latest version of the iLet Bionic Pancreas – the Color iLet. New patients will receive our latest iLet with a color screen and brighter display. The Color iLet shows your glucose levels, meal announcements and louder alerts that users have come to depend on. Color iLet integrates with both Dexcom CGMs or the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.

Bionic Circle

With the Bionic Circle app, up to 10 friends and family can remotely monitor you to see CGM values, meal announcements, and insulin doses and to receive alerts (Urgent Low / Urgent / Low Soon / Low / High / No Data).

The real-world data presented is observational data. These data do not come from a rospective study designed to evaluate the effect of the iLet Bionic Pancreas in subgroups by baseline HbA1c. Data comes from the first year (5/19/2023–5/18/2024) of real-world iLet usage among those people who had baseline HbA1c data available and who uploaded at least three weeks worth of CGM data to Beta Bionics, Inc., including users who do not meet all criteria in the Indications for Use. Individual user results may vary from the average values shown here. Users were all using Humalog or Novolog.

**Statements represent the opinions of the majority of respondents (>50%) and do not necessarily reflect statistically determined differences. With respect to perceived burdens, only a minority endorsed any burden with the device, reporting that the alarms were annoying, wanting the device to respond faster to high and low glucose levels, and continuing to worry about having a low while sleeping. Refer to the article for more information. Limitations in this study were described in the article and include that (1) further studies of the BP in even more diverse samples are necessary; (2) testing the BP in samples with higher mean blood glucose is warranted to evaluate its efficacy and effectiveness in the broader diabetes community; (3) investigating the BP in device-naive or new technology users would provide more evidence for the utility of the BP in this population; and (4) understanding of the BP in higher distress samples or who have more fears related to diabetes would be useful and more representative of many living with diabetes.
